Granudan Aqua Slipcoat 506<\/strong><\/p>\n

Product information:<\/p>\n

Aqua Slipcoat 506<\/strong> is a combined water-based semi-permanent and waxy sealer and slipcoat in one product. Aqua Slipcoat 506<\/strong> exhibits great durability against particularly abrasive materials.<\/p>\n

It is recommended for all items that create extra wear on the mold and item in the casting process. This includes, among other things, Polymer Concrete, vinylester\/polyester and epoxy productions, plug material, artificial marble, etc.<\/p>\n

If Aqua Slipcoat 506<\/strong> is used as both sealer and release agent, apply a minimum of 5 coats. For continuous production of many items, the use of \u201dSealer BN201<\/a>\u201d (water-based) or \u201dSealer GP<\/a>\u201d (solvent) is recommended as a protective film under the product, to optimize a higher production output per application, minimization of build-up, and protection of the mold surface. When starting up new molds, 2 layers are placed on top of the sealer.<\/p>\n

Application<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Apply a thin layer of Aqua Slipcoat 506<\/strong> to a small area of the mold, using a clean, soft lint and lint free cotton cloth or sprayer. A wet pearly surface will appear.<\/li>\n
  2. Wipe immediately afterwards with a new dry cloth – hard wiping is not necessary. Continue until the entire mold is processed. A wet continuous surface will appear.<\/li>\n
  3. Wait at least 15 minutes, apply another thin coat. Wipe afterwards with a clean, soft, lint- and lint-free cotton cloth.<\/li>\n
  4. Let the mold harden for at least 30 minutes at a room temperature of 18-21\u00b0C before using it. (For molds with a high surface temperature, the curing time will be shorter!)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    When it is necessary to carry out a “touch up”, just 1 layer is applied, and production continues when the coat has hardened after 30 min. Aqua slipcoat 506<\/strong> can be cleaned with our water-based \u201dGranudan WaterClean\u201d<\/a> and subsequently \u201dCleaner GR-08<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n

    The product has high durability on rough materials and complicated molds. Use on both polyesters, vinylester, and epoxy.<\/p>\n

    This product is easy to use and contains no (PFAS<\/strong>) fluorine-containing substances and is therefore not harmful to the environment or in the production.<\/p>\n

    Curing time: 15 min between applications, 30 min after last application<\/p>\n

    Thermal stability up to 150\u00b0C<\/p>\n

    Approx. 70-80 sqm.\/liter.<\/p>\n
