Granudan, Sealer BN201<\/strong><\/p>\n

Product information:<\/p>\n

Sealer BN201\u00a0<\/strong>is an exceptionally strong water-based sealer that can be used on all types of surfaces.
\n<\/strong>When you use\u00a0Sealer BN201,\u00a0<\/strong>you have a highly effective and environmentally friendly Sealer that can solve the tasks and fulfill the HSE requirements that are placed on the modern production company today.<\/p>\n

Application:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Wet a clean, soft, lint- and lint-free “cotton cloth<\/a>” or “mop<\/a>“, apply an even layer of Sealer BN201<\/strong> to the surface of the mold, without rubbing hard.<\/li>\n
  2. Wipe immediately afterwards while the surface is wet with a new clean cloth\/mop until the surface is dry. Continue in this manner until the entire mold is processed.
    \nAllow the surface to harden for a minimum of 15 minutes before a new layer of Sealer BN201<\/strong> is applied and wiped off.
    \nThis is repeated 2-3 times for epoxy, polyester and metal molds. For untreated plugs or surfaces with large porosities 6-8 times<\/li>\n
  3. After the last layer of Sealer BN201<\/strong>, the surface must harden according to the following guidelines:
    \na.<\/strong> Heat up and hold for 15 minutes at 100\u00b0C
    \nb.<\/strong> Heat up and hold for 60 minutes at 70\u00b0C
    \nc.<\/strong> Heat up and hold for 2 hours at 50\u00b0C
    \nd.<\/strong> 12 hours room temp. at min. 25\u00b0C<\/li>\n
  4. The mold surface is now ready to be coated with slipcoat.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If a solvent-based alternative to this product is needed, we recommend our \u201cGranudan Sealer GP<\/a>\u201d which is a highly globally recognized and effective sealer for the protection of molds and tools. Remember, You can combine the use of solventbased\u00a0Sealer GP<\/strong>\u00a0as protective mold barrier during maintenance with the use of a water based release agent on daily basis.<\/p>\n

    \u201cGranudan Sealer GP<\/a>\u201d also acts as a quick primer for e.g. our \u201cZyvax Flex-Z 1.0 \u2013 6.0 products<\/a>\u201d and thus significantly extends the strength, performance and life of the mold.<\/p>\n

    Note:<\/strong>
    \nBefore application, the mold must be thoroughly cleaned to ensure correct bonding from our sealers to mold surface. We recommend using our cleaner: \u201c    Granudan Mold Cleaner<\/a>\u201c, \u201cGranudan WaterClean<\/a>\u201d or \u201cGranudan GR-08<\/a>\u201c.<\/p>\n

    For abrasive cleaning (removal of resin build-up) use our \u201cSmirdex<\/a>\u201d abrasives for tough epoxy surfaces, and our polishing pastes from \u201cFar\u00e9cla<\/a>\u201d for high gloss finishing.<\/p>\n

    For worn out mold surfaces or surfaces with large porosity, we recommend using our primer \u201cMPP C2698W<\/a>\u201d before applying sealer and release agent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

    Granudan Sealer BN201 (Water-based)<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Sealer BN201<\/strong> is a water-based sealer and an alternative to\u00a0Granudan Sealer GP<\/a>. Sealer BN201<\/strong>\u00a0is specified and thoroughly tested for productions within a.o. the Wind Turbine Blade Industry. However, many other industries are using this product with great success.<\/p>\n

    The product closes all porosities and minor scratches on mold surface and provides a strong semi-glossy protective film on surfaces and can be used on both epoxy, polyester and metal.<\/p>\n

    Sealer BN201<\/strong> forms together with water-based “Aqua Slipcoat 506<\/a>“, “Release 707<\/a>” and “Watershield<\/a>“, Granudan\u2019s water-based release agent system dedicated to FRP production environments.<\/p>\n

    Short curing time between layers and a short post-curing at elevating mold temperatures at e.g. 70+ degrees.
    \nSealer BN201<\/strong>\u00a0is one of our favorite products for the global Wind Industry<\/p>\n

    This product is easy to use and contains no (PFAS<\/strong>) fluorine-containing substances and is therefore not harmful to the environment or in the production.<\/p>\n

    Curing time: 30 min (3-4 coats on composite moulds)<\/p>\n

    Thermal stability up to 280\u00b0C<\/p>\n

    Approx. 130 sqm.\/liter.<\/p>\n
